This policy explains how SeaNet Asia ("SeaNet", "we", "us") handles personal data collected through seanet.asia. [LEGAL ENTITY NAME], of [REGISTERED ADDRESS], is responsible for that data. We follow Hong Kong's Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance (Cap. 486) and, where it applies, Singapore's Personal Data Protection Act 2012.

What we collect

  • Details you give us through the enquiry form: your name, email address, phone number, what you're interested in and any remarks.
  • Messages you send us by email or WhatsApp.
  • Usage data collected by Google Analytics: the pages you visit, your approximate location, your device and browser, and how you arrived at the site.
  • Technical data our hosting provider records when you visit, such as your IP address and browser, which is used to run and secure the site.

How we use it

  • To reply to your enquiry and tell you about yacht co-ownership with SeaNet.
  • To arrange the viewings, sea trials and meetings you ask for.
  • To understand how the site is used and improve it.
  • To meet our legal and regulatory obligations.

We don't sell your personal data. We only send you marketing if you've asked for it or agreed to it, and you can opt out at any time.

Who we share it with

  • SeaNet's partners, such as yacht builders and dealers, where that's needed to answer your enquiry.
  • Service providers who run the site for us: Vercel (hosting), Resend (email delivery), Prismic (content and media) and Google (analytics).
  • Authorities, where the law requires it.

Some of these providers store data outside Hong Kong. Where data leaves Hong Kong, we take reasonable steps to make sure it's protected to a comparable standard.

Cookies and analytics

We use Google Analytics, which sets cookies to measure how visitors use the site. It doesn't identify you by name. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, or opt out of Google Analytics with Google's browser add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry details for as long as we need them to deal with your enquiry and any co-ownership that follows, then delete them, unless the law requires us to keep them longer.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you and ask us to correct it. You can also ask us to stop using your data for direct marketing. As the Ordinance allows, we may charge a reasonable fee for a data access request.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data. No way of sending data over the internet is completely secure, though.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
